Sensis Agency, an advertising firm out of Los Angeles, contracted Spline Motion Studios to create five short animations
for Sempra Energy, a San Diego based energy services holding company. Each 45 second animation was storyboarded
specifically to explain how each of the main renewable sources of energy are created, from tapping nature's resources through
modern engineering to transporting the final product to the 'distributor'. Storyboards were hand drawn so that Sensis and Sempra
had a full understanding every step of the way as models were sculpted in 3-dimensions, textured, lighted and rendered to thousands
of individual frames that are composited together with audio. The final animations give clear and understandable insight into the
inner workings of capturing renewable energy.
